What you enjoyed most about the course?

I enjoyed how easy you made it for me to take this course half way around the world.

How easy the study materials were to follow?

The written instruction, accompanied by the videos, accompanied by the book, accompanied by the instructors answers to students questions, all together made this course the best form of instruction I have ever received.

I have been a teacher for a police department and a high school teacher. I have taken many courses in my life, too numerous to mention. Without a doubt, this form of instruction, along with Johns incredible teaching skills, along with Tihanas coordination, made this class the best I have ever participated in.

Changes that regular qigong practice has made to your life?

I will touch upon a few changes, then expand upon them below in other comments.

My physical health has improved significantly. My mental health has improved significantly. My relationships with friends, family, and even strangers have improved significantly.

Any other comments you have?

This will be lengthy, and for that I apologize. But I wanted to let you know the miraculous effect Qigong has had on my life.

I have never believed in Qigong, Yoga, Tai Chi, or any of the Eastern disciplines. They never made sense to me. In my ignorance, I could not understand how simple movements could effect internal organs and mental health. I believed in Western medicine, physical exercise (running and lifting weights), and could not be bothered with the Eastern disciplines. I was very set in my ways. I was convinced that since we have “evolved” and are “more advanced” today than disciplines practiced a thousand years ago, then our modern systems had to be better. Wouldn’t it? My mind was made up. I was going to be a very hard sell on Qigong.

I developed a heart arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation. It was chronic, and it was adversely affecting my life. I couldn’t function as I had, and I was aging quickly. The risk of stroke was elevated. My heart rate went from 48 resting when I was healthy, to 80+ with a-fib. I literally couldn’t walk across the street without experiencing an elevated heart rate of 160+.

I was hospitalized, and cardioverted several times. It would last a week or so, then I would revert back to a-fib. I was hospitalized again and was given a drug regimen to try to regulate my heart. The results were less than satisfactory, I would go in and out of a-fib on a regular basis. The atrial fibrillation was no longer chronic, but it wasn’t fixed. It appeared as though surgery was in my future.

My wife kept insisting I do yoga or tai chi; she is aware of the health benefits. Of course I didn’t listen to her, I am set in my ways and didn’t believe that it could work.

We took a cruise in December and on the cruise, there was a Tai Chi class every morning. I relented, and went with my wife to the class. I knew it wouldn’t work. I couldn’t wait for it to end. I was doing tai chi to get my wife to stop bugging me. I was convinced it wasn’t going to work.

I was wrong. It worked.

By the end of the first class, I felt the chi in my fingertips. By the end of the cruise, I was convinced that there might be some merit to this.

I continued practicing the tai chi I learned on the cruise. My a-fib episodes were becoming further and further apart. I looked for a class that I could take locally, and nothing was convenient or desirable.

I found Long White Cloud Qigong on the internet, and liked what I saw. I read about Qigong, and saw that it was similar to what I understood with Tai Chi. I watched a few of Johns videos and knew that I wanted to take his class. I signed up.

Since the first week of your class, I have not experienced an episode of atrial fibrillation. The only thing that has changed in my life is your course. I attribute my stabilized heart to your instruction. Thank you.

My resting heart rate is now in the low 40’s, and every day it will drop into the high 30’s. The low heart rate is further evidence that the Qigong is repairing my damaged heart. The medication is still working as it should, dropping my heart rate as prescribed. But it is my thought that the medication is now lowering the rate of a healing heart (thanks to Qigong), and that I may no longer need the Tikosyn. This is a very pleasant problem to have. I see my cardiologist in a few weeks, and will be discussing reducing the medication, or eliminating it entirely. Thank you.

I have more energy. I have a much better attitude and relationship with friends, families, and strangers. The only thing that has changed in my life is your course and your instruction.

It still makes no sense to me how Qigong could heal a damaged heart. But I now realize that it doesn’t have to make sense to me. I have to acknowledge how wrong I had been in the past, and how my stubbornness and ignorance had kept me from adopting this incredible system for so long.

Thank you John. Thank you Tihana. I am absolutely convinced that Qigong has added years to my life, and as a result, has saved my life. Thank you.
