I have made a quick video of an exercise that can be used as a substitute for “Bending the Body and Swinging the Head” (BBSH) in the Qigong Foundation Practices course. This exercise is called “Turning the Great Wheel”, and similarly to BBSH it will stimulate the Large Intestine meridian, organ, and the nerves feeding into the organ from the spine.
Some people can have a hard time with BBSH due to high blood pressure, weak legs, pelvic floor weakness, or other conditions. If this is then case the Turning the Great Wheel is and excellent substitute. Its stimulation is very similar – but quite a bit more subtle. Maybe you would like to give the exercise a try 🙂
